Takođe mogu imati cif zatvarač ili jednostavno biti na navlačenje. Čizme na navlačenje mogu biti nezgodne ako imamo deblju ili tanju nogu. Često ih je teško obuti i skinuti. Dobro je u tom slučaju ispod njih obući debele termo čarape koje će sačuvati toplinu. Muškarci će se najčešće odlučiti za čizme do ili malo iznad članka, dok žene jednako vole i gležnjače i visoke čizme do kolena. Tako visoke čizme izgledaju elegantno, a pružiće i dodatnu zaštitu i toplinu. Kod izbora zimskih cipela i čizmi najbitnije je pripaziti na materijal i kvalitet izrade. Materijal mora biti nepropustljiv, a cipela čvrsto izrađena kako se đon ne bi odvajao ili koža, odnosno tekstil sa spoljašnje strane oštetili. Dobar dodatak na zimskim čizmama su posebni gumeni uzorci na đonu koji će sprečiti klizanje.
